In an interview not too long ago, Birdman finally responded to Jay-Z’s diss line in his and Kanye’s first single off Watch the Throne, “H.A.M.”The line in question? “I’m like really half a billi, nigga. Really you got baby money. Keep it real with niggas; niggas ain’t got my lady money.”While chatting with the interviewer, Birdman responded by saying:

I thought that was funny for a nigga to holler out Baby money. I was like, Wow, fuck, what do you mean Baby money? Nigga, that aint no little money. We around here getting it. It wasnt nothing, we aint trip. I was like, Yeah, since its such a big deal, fuck yeah we got Baby Money. That Bugatti and that Lauder jet comes from Baby Money’… I dont think ['It's Good'] is a diss record. It wasnt more than what he said. Niggas was Ging up about what was said. We did that, done that, off that brother. Were on our money train.

This psudo-beef between Jay-Z and the Young Money crew has been going on for some time now. In addition to the H.A.M. diss mentioned above, there have been two other disses thrown between the feuding MCs–Jay-Z’s verse on J. Cole’s “Mr. Nice Watch,” and Lil Wayne’s “It’s Good’ featuring Drake.

Although Drake appeared on “It’s Good” and is a loyal member of the Young Money label, he has managed to stay out of the beef for the most part. In fact Drake has expressed genuine admiration and friendship towards Jay-Z. In turn, Jay-Z has refrained from dissing Drake, instead congratulating him on the success of Drake’s Take Care album.
