It’s not secret that J. Cole is proud of his Fayetteville, North Carolina upbringing. If you listen to his first couple mix tapes, they are full of references to the good times he had back home.
In fact, he says the only reason he moved awy from there was because he though the would have a better time getting signed it he moved to New York City (he did).
Now, J. Cole is headed back to Fayetteville for the three day festival known as Dreamville, which will celebrate, amount other things, the town, the town’s youth, and the rapper himself. J. Cole will perform on Saturday March 3, and participate in other activities over the weekend, including a visit to his old high school.
